Offering an opportunity to join our current team as a Commercial Fitter. Salary dependent on experience and ability, to be agreed but set around the details below.
Role Details
We are seeking an experienced and reliable individual with a passion for trucks to join our commercial team, working on our customers' vehicles as well as our own. This will suit those with a flexible approach to work.
You will be responsible for carrying out inspections, service routines and repairs, preparing vehicles for MOT, and presenting them for test. All tasks are to be performed to the highest standard.
You'll have sound mechanical knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems, able to competently diagnose and repair faults in an efficient manner, recording all work on relevant documentation.
You will need to be able to work on your own initiative and well under pressure, with a calm, methodical and safe approach.

Diagnosing and repairing cars and light commercial vehicles at the roadside or at a customer's location, delivering a fast and professional service.
You'll need a recognised vehicle technician qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent), a full driving licence, and your own tools.
Apply for this roleWe are looking for a multi-skilled, versatile individual who can mostly self-manage their own workload, with the capability to work on a range of vehicle types and ages, from the 1960s (or earlier) to modern day. This includes classic cars, sports and performance cars, vans, and more. Work can vary from rebuilding and setting up carburettors, engine, suspension and brake maintenance and rebuilds, vehicle inspections, welding and servicing.
Any applicant needs to be able to work on both petrol and diesel vehicles, and have good mechanical knowledge to adapt to new challenges.
About You
Happy working independently, you make sound decisions without hand-holding, and bring lots of motor mechanical experience.
What We Offer
Licence / Certification
Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs and commercial vehicles in our workshop, including inspections, diagnostics and repair work.
You'll need a recognised HGV technician qualification (Level 3 or equivalent); IRTEC accreditation is desirable but not essential.

D&G Europe is part of the established D&G group, with over 30 years of experience across vehicle transport, recovery, and logistics. We operate across the UK and into Europe, moving cars and commercial vehicles for a range of fleet, trade, and commercial clients.
We're looking for professional, experienced multi-car drivers or experienced Class 1 HGV drivers who want to learn a new role and join our European operation on a self-employed basis.
The Role
You'll be transporting vehicles — primarily cars and vans — across the UK and into/back from Europe, operating multi-car transporter equipment. This is a full-time position with regular, ongoing work. Night-out work is part of the role and is paid additionally on top of your daily rate.
